-allows you to store and manage links to various websites and resources.

-allows users to post their own news items.

-smartphones and tablets are capable to do tasks were originally found in personal computers.

INTERNET THREATS


VIRUS
-
a malicious program that transfer to replicate itself and transfer from one computer to another either through internet or flashdrives and CD's.


WORM

-a malicious program that transfers from one computer to another by using the network to send copies of themselves to other PC's.


TROJAN
-a malicious software that disguised as useful program but once downloaded or installed, leaves your PC unprotected and allow hackers to get your information.


SPYWARE

-it has the ability to monitor what you are currently doing and typing through keylogging.


KEYLOGGERS

- used to record the keystroke done by users.


ADWARE

-a program designed to send you advertisments, mostly as pop-ups.


SPAM

-unwanted email mostly from advertisers. It can be used to send Malware.



PHISHING

-it's goal is to acquire sensitive persola information like passwords and credit card details.

1. PICTURES 

-this are electronic or digital pictures or photographs you have saved in any local storage device.

               
               
               TYPES OF PICTURE FILES



A) JPEG

-this is pronounced as "JAY-PEG" and short term form for .jpeg or Joint Photographic Experts Group. This type of picture file contains 16.7 million of colors.
        



B) GIF

-stands for Graphics Interchange Format. It is also capable of displaying simple animation. This type of picture file contains only of 254 colors.
                              

C)PNG
-it is pronounced as "PING". It stands for Portable Network Graphics. It is good with transparencies it means this type of picture file has transparent background but unlike GIF, it does not support animation. This types of picture file contains 16 million colors.      
                                    


     
2. CLIP ART
-line art drawings
or images used as generic representation for ideas and objects. Microsoft Word has a library of clip arts that has built in or can be download and used freely.


3.SHAPES

-these are 
printage objects or materials that you can integrate in your documents.


4. SMART ART (organizational chart)

-these are pre-defined sets of different shapes grouped together to form ideas that are organizational of structural in nature.



5. CHART (different kinds of graph)
-allows you to represent data characteristics and trends. Useful when you are preparing report that correlate and present data in graphical manner.


6. SCREENSHOT

-Microsoft Word even provides a snipping tool for your shots so you can select and display only the part that you exactly like to capture on your screen.


                           

                              
IMAGE PLACEMENT
 

1. INLINE WITH TEXT
-it treats your image like a text font with the bottom side totally aligned with the text.

2. SQUARE-allows the image you insert to be place anywhere within the paragraph with the text going around the image in a square pattern like a frame.

3. TIGHT-this is almost the same as the square setting but, here the text "hugs" or conforms to the general shape of the image.


4. THROUGH
-this setting allows the text on your document to flow even tighter taking the contours and shape of the image.


5. TOP
and BOTTOM-this setting pushes the text away vertically to the top and or bottom of the images so that image occupies a whole line text on it's own.


6. BEHIND TEXT
-this allow your image to be dragged and placed anywhere on your document but with all texts floating in front of it.


7. INFRONT OF TEXT
-allow your image to be placed right on top of the text. The text will be covered by the image.
